A stretch of north-east road is to close for the next two weekends while resurfacing work is done as part of the AWPR project.
The contractor for the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project is to close the U63K Maryculter Road, between the C5K at Burnhead and Dalfogart Lodge.
The road will close just after midnight at 00.01am on Saturday and will reopen by 11.59pm on Sunday.
It will close again for the same time period on Sunday November 18.
Diversions will be sign-posted.
Drivers intending to travel east of the closure should use the U63K Maryculter Road, the B9077 South Deeside Road, C30K Hillside to Batchart Road and C5K Lochton to Auchlunies to Nigg Road.
The reverse journey should be used for those wishing to travel west of the closure.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: “We would like to encourage those drivers who would consider using this route to plan their journey in advance and allow themselves additional travelling time so that they can reach their destination safely and on time.
“We also ask road users to observe all signage and to drive carefully while these works are on-going to ensure their safety, the safety of other road users and of road safety workers.
“We thank road users and the local community in advance for their patience during this period.”
