A 23-year-old female has died following a one vehicle crash on a North-east road today.
The car was travelling on the A92 just north of Inverbervie at 11am this morning when the crash happened.
A 13-month-old who was in the vehicle was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.
A section of the A92 between Inverbervie and Kinneff was closed for several hours before reopening at 4.30pm.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that following a road traffic collision on the A92 this morning at around 11am that a 23-year-old female has sadly died.
“A 13-month-old baby whch was also in the vehicle was taken to ARI with minor injuries.
“The road remains closed and inquires are at an early stage.”
Two teams from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attend the scene, one from Stonehaven and the other from Laurencekirk to assist police.
