A north-east road has been closed after a “serious” two-vehicle collision.
Officers have shut the A947 between the Tarves junction and the Oldmeldrum Hotel roundabout after the incident at 3.40pm.
A spokesman for Police Scotland told the Evening Express there was “potentially serious injuries”.
He said: “Police Scotland would like to advise motorists that there is a road closure on the A947 between the Tarves junction and Oldmeldrum Hotel roundabout due to a serious road traffic collision.
“Diversions are in place and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
“The public are asked to avoid the area if possible and thanked for their patience.
“The call came into us at 3.40pm and it was a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
“There are potentially serious injuries.”
