A team at HMP Grampian has raised funds for a suicide prevention charity.
Between July and October, the ladies of Banff Hall at HMP Grampian hosted several events to fundraise for Choose Life Prevent Suicide North East Scotland, which has developed a mobile application dedicated to helping to prevent suicides in the city and Shire.
The team made a total of £500 through events such as a bake sale and race night, and aimed to raise awareness of the importance of talking about emotions.
The money received by the charity will be used to maximise important publicity messages throughout December and January, which can be a particularly difficult time for many people.
As well as raising money, plans are now in the works for the delivery of a SafeTALK suicide alertness training sessions, which will equip them with further tools to help.
