Two North-east MSPs have picked up accolades in the first ever Holyrood Dog of the Year competition.
Bill Bowman, Conservative MSP for North-east Scotland, landed second place in the event with his Bulldog Astra.
While Moray MSP Richard Lochhead and his dog Cinder picked up third prize.
The overall winner was Emma Harper’s Border Collie Maya.
The event at the Scottish Parliament, organised by the Kennel Club and the Dogs Trust, follows a long-running annual competition at Westminster designed to raise awareness of pet charities and issues around puppy trafficking.
