A North-east hotel’s plans to expand have been put on hold as councillors deferred a decision on the proposal.
The Boat Inn in Aboyne had looked to turn the adjoining Boat House into eight new rooms at the Marr area committee yesterday.
Councillors decided they wanted to make a site visit before any determination was made. Owners of the hotel had applied for a change of use for the nearby property.
Peter Argyle, Upper Deeside and Donside councillor, said: “It was decided that it would be best for councillors to conduct a site visit and get the lay of the land before making a decision.”
