A group of North-east football fans are taking on the challenge of visiting 42 stadiums in 42 hours to raise money for charity.
Tony Mulloy, John Cruden, Iain Wood, Rod Lawman, Stewart Ingram and Bob Summers plan to visit all of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) grounds between May 25-27.
The team are a sixth of the way to reaching their target of £3,000 and aim to donate £1,000 each to Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, Tartan Army Children’s Charity and Nil by Mouth.
As well as raising money, the group of six are attempting to break the record for the fastest trip incorporating all 42 SPFL stadiums, meet past and present players and do challenges at some of the pitches.
Mr Wood said after establishing a route, they decided to raise cash for charity.
He said: “The three charities mean something to all of us hence why we chose them.”
