Councillors are being asked to agree a capital plan which will see £860 million of investment across Aberdeenshire over the next 15 years.

Councillors will meet on Thursday to agree their budget for 2018/19.

They will also be asked to agree to their 15-year capital plan which covers large projects that can and often do take longer to deliver than originally expected.

Costs have been included within the plan for a new Peterhead Community Campus within years six to 10, with an initial project cost of £71m.

Other projects highlighted within the plan include £6m for a community sports facility at the Hill of Banchory, £23m for Inverurie Community Campus, £1.8m for public toilets and £100,000 for road upgrading works in the Portlethen/Hillside area.

The Scottish Government has confirmed it is giving the local authority a capital grant of £37.392m for 2018/19 in its finance settlement.
