Police are hunting thieves after a series of break-ins at a number of North-east care homes.
Properties in Fraserburgh, Sandhaven and Rosehearty were targeted, with cash and bottles of alcohol stolen.
The incidents, which are believed to be linked, happened overnight on Sunday and Monday.
PC Cooper of the North East Division CID Proactive Unit said: “These are unpleasant crimes but I would like to reassure the public that they are a rare occurrence within our communities.
“We are treating the incidents as linked and I would urge anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
“In addition I would also take this opportunity to remind all residents in the community to take every precaution to prevent themselves becoming a victim of crime. This includes securing your property and ensuring that all doors and windows are locked to prevent similar offences occurring in the future.”
