Drivers are to face an eight-mile diversion when work is carried out on a North-east bridge next year.
Aberdeenshire Council is to shut Distillery Bridge, near Crathie in Royal Deeside, for repairs to its parapet.
Work is set to start on January 8.
And the bridge, which is near Balmoral Castle and Royal Lochnagar Distillery, is expected to be closed until January 19.
Drivers travelling east will not be able to use the bridge and will instead need to follow the eight-mile diversion along the B976 until joining the A93 Braemar to Ballater road. Motorists will rejoin the B976 after the village.
