A North-east bed and breakfast is set to be turned into a care home after council officers gave the go-ahead.
Lynda Knight asked Aberdeenshire Council for permission to change the use of the property on High Street, Laurencekirk.
“The proposal is to use the building as a care home, providing residential and respite care,” said a council report.
It added: “The staff would be the applicant and one full-time member of staff.”
Nobody formally objected to the application.
“The change of use would meet a demand for care facilities,” said the report.
