A total of 23 babies were born in an Aberdeen hospital’s midwives unit in the past month.
Figures released by NHS Grampian show data for Aberdeen Maternity Hospital’s Midwives Unit for February.
In this time, 23 babies were born – 11 boys and 12 girls.
The largest baby weighed in at 9lbs 0.5oz while the smallest was 6lbs 0.5oz.
All women took part in skin-to-skin at birth, with 87% of those who attended the unit breastfeeding from birth.
Of the new babies, 10 were a first child.
