
Health boards across the country are being encouraged to follow the example of NHS Grampian regarding patient care.
Bosses have hailed the impact of a new vital sign project “What Matters To You?” being used in Grampian.
Doreen Jardine, senior charge nurse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Ward 306, said: “The use of ‘What Matters To You’ is invaluable to understand what matters to our patients.
“For example some patients like to ensure that they have a daily newspaper to keep up with the news, others mention gardening – if we know this we can take the patient up to roof garden.”
