Plans have been lodged to turn a bakery into a takeaway in a North-east village.
The proposals, launched with Aberdeenshire Council, would see the Chalmers Bakery on Oldmeldrum Road changed.
Neil Rothnie Architects is acting as the agent and has submitted the plans to the local authority on behalf of the applicant Mr Bo Ling.
It is looking to get the go-ahead to change the use of the site from a bakery into a hot food takeaway.
The building is located on the main A947 road that travels through Newmachar.
If approved, a flue will also be installed at the site.
A flue is a duct for smoke and waste gases produced by a gas heater.
Members of the public have until March 22 to share their views with Aberdeenshire Council on the proposals.
The local authority is looking to make a decision on the change of use to a hot food takeaway by the middle of April.
