A NEW hotel is to be built near Aberdeen’s airport after being given the go-ahead by councillors.
Plans for the creation of a new 155-bedroom hotel at D2 Business Park in Dyce have been approved by Aberdeen City Council.
Building work on the new Dyce Drive hotel is now expected to start in November.
It is hoped the hotel, which is to have 93 car parking spaces, will take around a year to build.
A total of 12 conditions have been placed on the scheme, including the development of cycle spaces.
Jason Taylor, of Bricks Capital, which is involved with the project, said: “The Dyce hotel will hopefully appeal to airport passengers as well as business people.
“It will be a Hampton by Hilton hotel which is their budget brand. The brand is a three-star plus hotel which is aimed to be similar to a four-star.”
