Thousands of Aberdeen homeowners are to be given exclusive access to a new website that is charting their property’s wasted energy.
The online portal will show residents thermal images of their homes and highlight cost savings on energy bills.
The pilot scheme was launched last winter in partnership with Scarf, which runs the Home Energy Scotland contract for the North-east.
The photos online show where the most energy is being wasted using colours.
Red, yellow and green areas show points of heat loss from a property.
Red shows the highest heat loss followed by yellow, then green.
Grey blue colours indicate the areas of lowest heat loss.
Aberdeen City Council is currently issuing letters to all residents, whose homes were included in the pilot project, with a unique access code for the new website.
