Progress on a £14.6 million north-east health centre is to take a step forward later this month when construction is completed.
Building work began on the Inverurie Health and Care Hub in December 2016 and, according to a new report from Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care chief officer Adam Coldwells, the building is set to be handed over to the partnership on July 23.
In the report, Mr Coldwells said that, on that date, the partnership would be able to “commence
the commissioning process and fully equip the building”.
He added: “This will work in parallel with the external works to allow a target date of August 27 for the building to be completely operational and open to the public.”
He said it might be possible for a bus service to be rerouted to pass the centre, which will host a maternity unit, community and public health nursing, a dental practise and diagnostic and treatment services.
