A major firm has been confirmed as the latest to sign-up for Aberdeen’s Marischal Square development.
Spaces – who are taking on the first floor of 1MSQ – joins Aberdeen Journals, National Services Scotland, RBS and Tenaris as the eleventh firm for the development’s office accommodation.
Spaces provide flexible office space for small businesses along with a calendar of events including speakers and networking lunches.
Mackies 19.2, All Bar One, Prezzo, Costa, Tony Macaroni and Marriott International are also based within Marischal Square.
Aberdeen City Council co-leader Jenny Laing said the move highlights the appeal of the development.
She said: “The steady flow of tenants choosing Marischal Square demonstrates the appeal and advantages to business of being part of such a major regenerative project.
“Business leaders can see the quality of the buildings and the amenities Marischal Square has to offer and they understand that their colleagues can benefit from a vibrant working environment.
“Spaces will attract a diverse range of dynamic and forward-thinking small businesses to the area and further enhance the business community in this part of the city.”
The UK boss of Spaces Richard Morris today said he was delighted to open their new site in the heart of Aberdeen.
He said: “People are recognising that they are far more productive and successful in a dynamic working environment, while businesses are waking up to the financial and strategic benefits.
“Spaces offers a new type of workspace for companies and individuals looking for a place to work flexibly and be inspired by other like-minded people.
“We are delighted to be opening this new site in Aberdeen.
“This offers the best of what the city has to offer to businesses and local entrepreneurs, with plenty to do both within the Marischal Square development and outside of the office.”
