National park authority to make decision on Aberdeenshire holiday homes

Proposals for more holiday homes in the North-east have been called in by a national park authority.

The decision for six short-term letting cabins at Logie Coldstone, Aboyne, will now be made by the Cairngorms National Park Authority

Gerry Robb Architectural Design Services had submitted the proposals to Aberdeenshire Council on behalf of Cairngorm Lodges next to Allalogie Cottage on the A97.

Planning documents said the proposal would lead to an increased footfall.

The decision to call in the application said proposals were considered to raise issues of significance to the collective aims of the National Park.
