Michael Ball and Alfie Boe are getting together to give their North-east fans a treat.
The two musical superstars today announced they are bringing their Together tour to Aberdeen next year after 29 sold-out shows across the UK in 2016.
The duo will perform at the AECC on December 11 next year, with tickets going on sale this Friday.
Michael, the nation’s leading musical theatre star, and Alfie, the country’s favourite tenor, will perform numbers from the greatest Broadway shows as well as classical songs.
The tour is on the back of their Together album – the first time the two have joined forces, to the delight of fans around the world.
It went platinum in just six weeks and is on track to be the biggest-selling domestic release of 2016.
Michael and Alfie said: “There are simply no words for how incredible this is for us.
“We have always wanted to work together, it was just a case of getting the timing right.
“We are so grateful to all our fans who have supported us and everyone involved in believing in us.
“We are literally having the best time are as so happy with the success of the album and the tour.”
Senior sales manager at AECC, Anna Mackenzie, said: “It will be Alfie Boe’s first visit to the venue and 16 years since Michael Ball was last here, so we are sure this long-awaited tour will be a very popular.”
The two critically-acclaimed artists have won a slew of awards while racking up record sales and chart successes.
Over his 30-year career, Michael has smashed box office records, won two Olivier Awards and become a popular face on TV.
Alfie’s exceptional voice has made him Britain’s best-selling tenor.
A huge draw on stage, he has led the cast of Les Miserables and sold more than a million albums in the UK.
