A woman has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after an alleged attack on a man on an Aberdeen street.
Hanna Foliant appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the matter.
It comes after a 38-year-old man was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries after an alleged serious assault last Tuesday in the School Road area.
A building in the area was sealed off, with officers standing guard outside, while police carried out inquiries.
Officers were called to the property on School Road at 11pm on Tuesday.
Foliant, who was described as having no fixed abode, is facing a charge of attempted murder.
She is also charged with theft by shoplifting.
During her court appearance she made no plea.
The case against the 25-year-old was continued for further examination.
She was released on bail after her appearance.
A Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service spokesman said that no further dates had been fixed for future appearances.
