Seven charities are set to benefit from a donation made by a North-east company.
Wood made a donation of £75,000 towards the seven charities – The ARCHIE Foundation, The Salvation Army, Samaritans, Aberdeen Cyrenians, The Girls Academy, The Vine Trust and Elly’s Ward 10 Flag Appeal – to help support its various causes.
The ARCHIE Foundation and Aberdeen Cyrenians are both based in Aberdeen, with the others scattered across the UK and internationally – including countries such as Australia, Tanzania and Peru.
Robin Watson, pictured, Wood’s chief executive, said: “We are wholly committed to providing support and showing care for the communities in which we operate.
“It is something we are passionate about and proud of, and our global employees consistently show great compassion in their efforts to support others less fortunate.”
He described the charities as “tremendous and inspiring”.
