An MSP has congratulated an Aberdeen primary school after it received funding from the National Lottery.
Mark McDonald, MSP for Aberdeen Donside, extended his wishes to Dyce Primary School, which secured £3,000.
The money will be put towards developing an after-school football programme in partnership with two community football clubs, to provide a competitive pathway for pupils.
Mr McDonald said: “I am delighted to hear the news that Dyce School has secured £3,000 of funding from the National Lottery’s Awards for All Scotland.
“It is fantastic to see schools in my constituency get involved in initiatives like this and it is great that the money will be used to develop an after-school football programme in partnership with two community football clubs. This will help boost activity levels among children and that is to be encouraged.
“I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the staff and pupils at Dyce Primary School and hope the programme proves to be a success.”
