A driver was caught speeding on the AWPR at 103mph, police said.
Police have provided an update to Ellon Community Council about notable incidents during February – and included an update about how traffic police are ensuring motorists stick to the speed limit.
The report said: “February saw the full opening of the AWPR between Tipperty and Stonehaven.
“This brought with it a heightened presence from traffic police and local policing officers on the new road.
“A high number of speeding offences were detected including a 54-year-old male driving in excess of 90mph, a 50-year-old male driving at 95mph and a 20-year-old driving at 103mph.”

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A slight increase in speed can result in very serious consequences. Would urge people to be mindful of the speed they are travelling at.”
