Motorcylist suffers ‘life-changing’ injuries in crash with tractor on North-east road

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash between a motorbike and a tractor.

Police Scotland were called to the crash on the A947, near Bethelnie, between Oldmeldrum and Fyvie at around 10.35am today.

A Police Scotland spokesman said the male motorcyclist has suffered “serious, life-changing injuries”.


The man was flown by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The A947 has been closed from the Oldmeldrum roundabout to around one mile north.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The road is closed in both ways.

“The council have attended so there’s signage and diversions in place.”
