Motorcyclist dies after crash on North-east road

Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash.

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a North-east road.

Police and ambulance crews attended a collision involving a motorcycle on the A98 Banff to Portsoy road near its junction with the A95 Cornhill road at around 2pm yesterday.

The male rider was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police have now confirmed his suffered fatal injuries in the accident.

The road was closed while the force carry out a collision investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
