More than 400 people failed to show up for hospital appointments in the north-east last week.
New NHS Grampian figures show 346 people – 5% of all appointments – at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary did not show up or call to cancel.
During that time period, 1,169 people attended the emergency department and 90.8% of those were assessed, admitted or discharged within four hours.

There were 69 no-shows at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital – 9% of all appointments.
A total of 334 people attended the emergency department there, with 99.4% admitted or discharged within four hours.
Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin had 68 no-shows – 4% of all appointments.
An NHS Grampian spokeswoman said: “Appointments left uncancelled result in wasted resources. All missed appointments can lead to patients having to wait longer to be seen.”
