More buses during Christmas period as firm tells of new service changes

Bus firm Stagecoach has revealed details on how its services will change over the festive period.

The company says “special timetables” will be put in place between December 24 and January 2.

On Christmas Eve, services will end earlier than normal with last departures being approximately 8pm and there will be no buses on Christmas Day.

But services will run on Boxing Day throughout Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

On Hogmanay, proceedings will once again end early with last departures at about 8pm.

On New Year’s Day, Stagecoach will be operating the 727 service from Aberdeen city centre to Aberdeen International Airport for the first time.

Buses will return to normal school holiday operation from January 3.

Regional managing director Mark Whitelocks, pictured, said: “We are running more bus services during the festive period. We hope this will encourage more people to choose the bus for a trip.”
