A North-east dog show has raised more than £1,000 for a German Shepherd charity.
Scott Milne who runs canine social club Bella and Co, organised the “mini Crufts” event at Bellfield Park in Banchory.
And the event was a roaring success, pulling in £1,352 for German Shepherd Rescue Scotland.
It’s a charity close to Scott’s heart, as he owns two German Shepherds, 18-month-old Bella, who the group is named after, and new pup, 16-week-old Chaos.
Scott said: “The charity tries to rehome all the German Shepherds that have had a bad start in life.”
He added: “It was really good. I was expecting a washout but on Saturday morning we had a few showers and then the sun was out.
“We had about 200 dogs, I think.
“It was a really good turnout, all different kinds of breeds, everything from a Shih Tzu right up to a Great Dane.
“All the dogs seemed to get on together really well.
“From my point of view the event was more for the social side of things.
“There was a lot of familiar faces but there was also people who travelled a bit to get here.”
