The Met Office has issued a snow warning for the north-east.
According to the forecaster, snow and ice is expected across the region.
The warning comes into effect today at 11am and will remain in place until 10am tomorrow.
The Met Office has warned that some transport could be affected, leading to longer journey times.
A statement on the forecaster’s website said: “An area of rain, sleet and snow, accompanied by gusty winds will continue slowly eastwards across northern Scotland Sunday afternoon and evening.
“Where snow falls, 1 to 3 cm are likely while on ground above 200 metres 2 to 5 cm is likely and above 400 metres, accumulations will be higher and close to 5 to 10 cm in some places. There’s the potential for gales.
“Icy patches and wintry showers expected tonight and first thing Monday giving a few travel problems.”
