The Met Office has issued a warning for heavy rain and thunderstorms for parts of Scotland.
A yellow level alert is in place between 12pm and 10pm tomorrow.
A post on the forecaster’s website said: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
“Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
“Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
“There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
“Many areas will remain dry on Saturday. However, where heavy showers do break out there is potential for 20 mm rain to fall in less than an hour with 30-50 mm possible in three hours.
“Hail may present an added hazard. The risk looks greatest across Northern Ireland first, from around midday, then extends eastwards across Scotland during Saturday afternoon, before showers and thunderstorms die out during the evening.”
