FOUR men arrested in connection with an alleged altercation in Aberdeen have been released from custody.
The men had been due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in relation to alleged “disputes” on Springhill Crescent in Northfield and Nigg Way in Kincorth on Thursday evening.
However, the men were released from custody – but the Crown Office said the case was still under consideration.
An area around Nigg Way, heading on to the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road, was cordoned off until Friday afternoon and searches were carried out. Buses were also rerouted.
A spokesman for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said: “The Procurator Fiscal at Aberdeen has received a report concerning four males aged 23, 24, 44 and 49 in connection with an alleged incident on May 14, 2015.
“After full and careful consideration of the report, the accused were liberated from custody and did not appear in court.
“The case remains under consideration by the Procurator Fiscal.”
