A CANDLELIGHT service will be held at an Aberdeen church tonight after the tragic death of a 16-year-old schoolboy.
The memorial at Cults Parish Church will pay tribute to Bailey Gwynne who died yesterday after he was allegedly stabbed at Cults Academy.
Reverend Ewen Gilchrist said the service will allow friends and family of the teenager to come together and reflect.
He added: “There is a sense of uselessness after such an event, but it feels right to open our doors to offer a safe place, a quiet place, a place of prayer, whatever people want it to be.”
The vigil will be held at 8pm.
