A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-car crash on a north-east road.
Police were called to the A952, Fraserburgh to Mintlaw road, at around 10.35pm following reports of a crash between a white Mazda 3 and a grey Land Rover Discovery.
A 22-year-old man, the driver of the Mazda, was taken to ARI with life-threatening injuries.
The 69-year-old female Land Rover driver was also taken to ARI after suffering minor injuries.
Sergeant Andrew Meikleham, from the divisional road policing unit, said: “Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are at an early stage and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
