A man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to the incident on King Street near its junction with Frederick Street at around 1.36am.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “We are appealing to the public for information following a serious road traffic collision.
“The collision involved a white SEAT Toledo motor vehicle.
“As a result of the collision a male pedestrian has been taken to ARI with serious injuries.
“The male driver of the white SEAT Toledo was uninjured.”
