Man taken to hospital after emergency at Aberdeen harbour

Emergency services were called to Aberdeen harbour after a man took ill.

The Scottish Ambulance Service and Aberdeen Coastguard were alerted at 10.15pm last night.

The man was on board a vessel when he became unwell before meeting ambulance and coastguard crews at Aberdeen harbour.

He was later taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after vomiting.

A coastguard spokesman said: “A man phoned us and requested medical advice.

“He came into Aberdeen harbour and met an ambulance and our coastguard team who were providing assistance.

“He was taken to hospital.”
