A man has been fined after stealing hundreds of pounds of goods and a self-scan gun from a supermarket.
William Parkinson, known as Hanratty, 35, pleaded guilty at Aberdeen Sheriff Court to stealing a quantity of food items, baby items and a self-scan item from Asda, Garthdee Road.
The offence happened on Sunday at 3.50pm.
Fiscal depute Lixia Sun said the items were worth £466.85.
He was stopped outside and the items recovered.
Alex Burn, Hanratty’s solicitor, said his client had not received his benefits.
Sheriff Robert McDonald fined Hanratty, whose address was given as Oldcroft Place, Aberdeen, £80.
