A man has been rescued from the North Sea after falling at Aberdeen Harbour breakwater.
Coastguard teams from Stonehaven and Aberdeen were called at around 8.20pm last night after reports the man had gotten into difficulty at the pier.
Aberdeen Lifeboat helped the man from the water while firefighters were required to cut through a fence to enable Scottish Ambulance Service crews to reach him.
Stonehaven Coastguard Rescue Team, along with their Aberdeen counterparts, were on scene to provide safety cover to both the lifeboat crew and the rescued man.
A coastguard spokesman said the man was recovered “safe and well”.
