A man has appeared in court after a 48-year-old was found with a serious head injury at an Aberdeen hotel.
Christopher Allison, 27, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the incident, which happened at a wedding.
He faced a charge of assault to severe injury and danger of life.
Officers were called to the Marriott at Dyce at around 10.50pm on Saturday.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is in a serious condition.
Allison, of Aberdeen, made no plea during the hearing and was released on bail while the case against him was continued for further examination.
