A man has appeared in court today charged with attempted robbery after an incident at an Aberdeen post office.
The court appearance follows an alleged incident at Sclattie Park Post Office yesterday.
A female, believed to be a member of staff, sustained minor injuries as a result.
Andrew Michael Bowyer, also known as Thomson, 47, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the matter.
Thomson, of Aberdeen, is facing a charge of attempted robbery, as well as two counts of having a blade in a public place.
He made no plea during the hearing and the case was continued for further examination.
Thomson was remanded in custody and is expected to appear again within the next week.
