A man has been jailed for six months for making threats to set fire to a house.
Robert Burns, 25, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and threatening his former partner with violence and threatening to damage and set fire to a property on March 11, at an address in Elsick.
The court was told that Burns’s ex-partner received calls from a “withheld number” and on answering recognised his voice.
Defence agent Laura Gracie said the pair have “not ever really separated”, and added: “Whatever he was trying to convey was not coming across”.
Burns, whose address was given as Garthdee Road, Aberdeen, is serving a jail sentence for another matter.
Sheriff Sukhwinder Gill told Burns: “The comments made must have been extremely frightening for the complainer.”
