A 35-year-old man is expected to appear in court in connection with stolen vehicle in the north-east.
Officers arrested and charged the man following an incident at a property in Elgin where a vehicle was allegedly stolen.
The man has also been charged in connection with frauds and other thefts that reportedly took place in Elgin and Keith.
Police said a “significant amount of property was stolen”.
Constable Iain Wilson, who led the inquiry said: “I would like to thank the members of the public, who assisted greatly in passing the information, which led to the apprehension of the offender.
“The support of the community has undoubtedly stopped further crimes being committed.”
The man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on tomorrow.
