A man has died following a motorbike crash on a north-east road.
The biker, a man in his 50s, came off his bike on the A93 at 1.45pm today.
The crash, involving a Suzuki motorcycle, happened between Glenshee and Braemar.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and further details will be released once formal identification has been completed.
The road is still closed to allow for inquiries to be completed and diversions are in place. Diversions are in place.
Sergeant Stuart Lawrence from the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the man’s family and friends.
“We have officers supporting them and would urge anyone who may have seen the motorbike around the time of the incident and who may have stopped to render assistance to contact us as a matter of urgency”.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1945 of 13 July.”
