A 15-year-old boy is expected to appear in court following an alleged attempted break-in in Aberdeen.
Police, fire and ambulance crews along with the bomb squad from Edinburgh were called to the alleged incident at a building on Springhill Road just north of Sheddocksley Sports Centre.
The teenager was detained following the alleged incident and a police cordon was put in place around the Springhill Road area overnight between Ythan Road and Provost Fraser Drive until just after 11am.
Police search teams arrived to investigate the area just before 9.30am.
The force have now confirmed he has been charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal and Children’s Reporter in relation to the alleged attempted break-in.
The boy is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow.
