A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged assault of another man in Aberdeen.
It comes after a 35-year-old man was allegedly attacked in the Tillydrone area of the city on Monday just before 6pm.
Daniel James, 44, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the matter.
He is facing a charge of assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
During his court appearance James made no plea.
The case against him was committed for further examination.
James, of Aberdeen, was released on bail.
