A man has been charged after allegedly stealing a safe from an Aberdeen takeaway.
The alleged break-in, at a takeaway in the Holburn Street area of Aberdeen, happened in the early hours of February 16.
Police said a safe along with a high three-figure sum of money was reported missing.
The 36-year-old manhas also been charged in connection with an alleged attempted break-in to the same premises on April 16.
In addition, the man has been charged in connection with the alleged theft of a till from a shop in the Ythan Terrace area of Ellon between Saturday and Sunday.
The cash register, which was later recovered, was taken containing a low two figure sum of money.
He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
