A man has been charged in connection to an alleged serious assault at a house party.
A 36-year man is expected to appear in court in relation to the alleged incident that happened at a property in Peterculter.
Police officers were called to a disturbance at a house in Johnston Gardens at 2.40am on Boxing Day.
A man in his 50s was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by paramedics to be treated.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 36-year-old male has been charged in connection to a serious assault.
“A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
“The man is due to appear in court in the near future.”
