A 24-year-old man has been charged after vehicles were allegedly vandalised in a north-east town.
Around 14 vehicles parked in the town centre area were damaged with the cost estimated to be around £14,000 between Thursday and Friday.
Sergeant Graeme Forbes said: “Vandalism is a completely mindless act and the damage caused to these vehicles has affected a number of people. It will be both costly and inconvenient for them to repair.
“I would like to thank the public for their assistance while inquiries were carried out and continue to encourage anyone with information regarding anti-social behaviour to contact Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
