A man has been charged after screws and tacks were left on a north-east road.
The 52-year-old was charged in connection with two incidents where the objects were left on a road in the Anderson Drive area of Elgin on October 29 and the Bezak Street area of New Elgin on Monday.
DC Rosanagh Davison said: “I would like to thank members of the public who have assisted us with our inquiries.
“I would also like to thank the community for its continued support.
“Putting tacks and screws on the road creates a hazard for other road users and it is fortunate that there have not been serious consequences.”
The man is due in Elgin Sherriff Court at a later date.
