Drugs worth more than £200,000 have been seized by police after a raid in Aberdeen.
The “significant” quantity of heroin were found in a property in the Torry area of the city.
A 42-year-old man was charged yesterday in connection with the recovery.
He is due to appear at court later today.
Detective Inspector Allen Shaw said: “This is a significant recovery of heroin which has thankfully been intercepted before it had the chance to reach the streets of the North-east.”
He added: “From executing drug search warrants to acting on intelligence from members of the public, activity takes place every day across the region to remove illegal substances from our communities.
“I would like to take this opportunity once again to reinforce just how important the information we receive from the public is when it comes to tackling drugs.
